Great title of the latest episode - the level of complacency in the market is both surprising and concerning. Spoke to several guys from commodities desks here in the UAE in the past several days, everyone is scratching their head as to why on Earth oil is not 140-150$ yet. If anything makes sense less than this is VIX at 25 at the time of the writing!
Excellent way to get the morning started — host is very well read and thoughtful—but…. His political bias is obvious — a bit cringe as he tries to come off as “ just calling balls and strikes “… but there is a seething there
The show provides a decent daily summary of the news and rumours circulating on Fintwit. But the host has Trump Derangement Syndrome - he struggles to speak for more than a few minutes without injecting conspiracy theories, and straw-man arguments from Blue sky.
This pod is a great all round overview/catch up for an amateur such as myself. Good to have John back in the driving seat and the rest of the Saxo team have great knowledge.
John – on a separate note, I prefer your original music to the two new ones You played today
I catch up on the previous days show during my morning commute. Great overview and the commodity updates by Ole are second to none. John also provides recommendations for other good reads and listens which is useful. Having Peter Garnry back as a guest recently was a nice touch.

Notable strengths include a practical, no-ad approach, deep domain knowledge from Saxo Bank analysts, and timely guests who bring commodity and macro perspectives.
