Blessed by the messages I hear from Sanctuary. I listen to some of these podcasts while I walk to work in the mornings. I was introduced to their ministry after Dr. Dennis Edwards delivered a message at Woodland Hills church in St. Paul ("No Fear" 11/13/16). Give it a listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Peter, Do You Love Me? | Luke 23:31; John 21:15-20
Q: How does the illness story of John and Amy tie into the biblical narrative discussed?
Their experience illustrates how faith, community support, and prayer sustain people through illness, paralleling Peter's testing and restoration, and reinforcing the idea that God's faithfulness extends to contemporary trials.
Peter, Do You Love Me? | Luke 23:31; John 21:15-20
Q: What does the dialogue between Peter's love and Jesus' command to 'feed my sheep' teach us about humility and leadership?
It shows that leadership is rooted in humble admission of where we are; love evaluated in practice translates into actions that care for others, especially the vulnerable, during difficult times.
Peter, Do You Love Me? | Luke 23:31; John 21:15-20
Q: Why focus on Peter in this moment of hardship?
Because Peter's arc—from bold proclamation to denial to restoration—mirrors the journey many believers face, and it demonstrates how Jesus meets us where we are, strengthens our faith, and commissions us to care for others.
Wednesday in the Word | Mathew 13:24-30
Q: Where in my life do I need to surrender to Jesus and ask for the Spirit's wisdom?
The pastor encourages reflection on personal areas needing surrender and the asking of the Spirit's guidance.
The Book of Live | Book of James
Q: How should we show up in our faith?
We should take off our bibs of complacency and put on aprons of service, ready to serve others.
