  • Best Sharks content

I’ve been a subscriber for years. So much good information. I love the pod. However the episodes are very long and unstructured so I can’t always commit to a 2-3 hour listen, which leads me to skip some episodes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Eklund Trade Reaction! | Cam Robinson Talks Stenberg, Laila Edwards Excited for San Jose EP 131
Q: What is your expected approach at number two if Stenberg is off the board?
If Stenberg is off the board, Cam or the analysts lean toward McKenna or Reid, favoring a high-upside defenseman who can contribute offensively, with Reid often highlighted for his right-handed shot, skating, and top-pair potential; the choice depends on team needs and the broader draft plan.
Scott Wheeler Says Stenberg to Sharks (For Now) | Ravensbergen Talks Carels EP 130
Q: What are the top defensemen in this class and could one of them become a true number one?
Wheeler notes Reid and Carels as top defensemen in the class from the Sharks' perspective, with McKenna, Stenberg as a high tier among forwards; he believes one or two of the top D could in a redraft become a true number one but it's uncertain which, depending on development and team needs.
Scott Wheeler Says Stenberg to Sharks (For Now) | Ravensbergen Talks Carels EP 130
Q: Why number two for Stenberg at this moment?
Wheeler says he has done two mocks, first Reid then Stenberg, and the Sharks are open to moving back, but at two, his lean is Stenberg due to his high ceiling as a top‑line forward and the perceived fit with the Sharks' needs, though he acknowledges other teams' preferences could shift the pick.
Stenberg or Reid? Button on Who San Jose Sharks Should Draft | Boyle on Signing Raddysh EP 128
Q: Would you trade the number two pick for a star defenseman like Werenski?
Most contributors express that while Werenski is an elite player, preserving the second pick to select a top defenseman like Reid is more valuable for the Sharks' long-term plan, unless an enticing package including multiple assets comes along.
Peters Excited for Pohlkamp, Talks 2026 Draft D-Men | Celebrini MVP Even Without Playoffs? EP 125
Q: What is the dominant narrative about Macklin Celebrini this season?
Celebrini is framed as a unicorn-level prospect whose performance has surpassed expectations, elevating the Sharks' rebuild narrative and driving MVP discussion if the team makes the playoffs.
