  • Go sharks.

    J. D. Comma Young. For a guy who’s been doing multiple podcasts for years you shouldn’t sound like a kid doing a presentation on a book you didn’t read. Most points are repeated two or three times. And you use almost the exact same list of questions for every guest. I’m tired of hearing about monsters who don’t wear socks. A gazillion percent! Maybe make show outline!? Nevertheless I’m a fiend for content and I’ll listen everyday. Thanks for the work.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MUST-DRAFT: Why San Jose Sharks Should TARGET Malte Gustafsson in the NHL Draft's First Round
Q: What do you want to see Gustafsson work on to become a star defensive defenseman?
I'd like to see him take more offensive risks, improve his skating edges and lateral movement, and continue to refine his stick skills to better support the transition game, while maintaining his elite defensive instincts.
MUST-DRAFT: Why San Jose Sharks Should TARGET Malte Gustafsson in the NHL Draft's First Round
Q: Have you started watching tape yet?
Yes, I've started thinking about it and am easing into tape study while handling other commitments; Gustafsson's tools suggest a strong defensive foundation with potential for development, particularly if he improves skating and offense.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: Gavin McKenna’s NHL Potential IGNITES Draft Debate
Q: What should the Sharks do with the number two pick?
The guest argues for trading down if possible to gain assets, but if they stay put, prioritize the top defenseman (Stenberg) over the best player available, because defense is the bigger immediate need and the class has depth in forwards.
BREAKOUT: San Jose Sharks Chase Reid’s Stock SOARS—Is He the Best Defenseman of the 2026 Draft?
Q: How do you think going the NCAA route is a good route for him?
The host asks about Reid's path to the NHL and whether Michigan State or the NCAA route would best suit his development, with Brock emphasizing that it depends on the team that drafts him and suggesting the NCAA path could yield physical and competitive growth before an NHL jump.
UNDERRATED: Why San Jose Sharks Should TARGET Daxon Rudolph—Defense, Hype & Next Draft GEM
Q: What makes Daxon Rudolph such an intriguing prospect?
Steven explains Rudolph's combination of size, skating that is solid rather than elite, and strong two-way game, highlighting his leadership on a very good WHL team and his consistent, controllable play that suggests potential to develop into a reliable top-four defenseman with time in college to mature.
