Very well produced, a pleasure to listen to and very hard to stop.

Evokes different emotions and tells a lot about human behavior and how much we still need to insist and persist to support inclusion and a more open society.

When some new AWARE members refuse to engage an old member in food talk! That anecdote at the start of the first episode instills the dread of what’s to come so well, because I think most Singaporeans would agree that it’s in our DNA to wax lyrical about food. Don’t worry, though, it’s a happy ending 😃 Extremely well-told and researched story, support AWARE and women’s rights!

I loved the production of this! The narrator, interviews and sound effects went well together and I binged listen to it. I felt the outrage of the women and their determination. I will recommend this though the podcast does get overwhelming at times. But still an interesting look at AWARE and how their mission is so important for Singapore.

I was up till wee hours binge listening. Gripping storytelling with gorgeous sound design just captivated me completely in the drama that unfolded. My earphones ran out of battery and I had to continue the next day and I loved every moment. Learnt so much and I am enriched. Thank you AWARE and to the brave founders.

I have always felt that the AWARE saga was an under-appreciated and under-studied turning point in recent Singapore history... this podcast single handedly resolves that problem.

this is so so so good that i finished all 11 episodes released so far in 2 days! the turn of events were so gripping that even though i already knew the ending, i couldn't stop myself from pressing play on the next episode! it's like it came straight out of a superheroine movie! there are heroines (of course!), suspense, surprises, conflicts, twists, rug pulled from under, secret mastermind, battle cries, and finally a well fought and deserved victory!

I don't usually like podcast series, but this amazing series has me hooked, each episode engages me with the story, pacing, music and sound design…The series also amazes me with the depth in its research, giving me new insights to civil society, religion, policies, media etc then and now. And if you have the chance, go onto the website for the extras, to get a 360 engagment.

An extremely well-produced podcast and sheds light on the 2009 saga.

SAGA details the important landmark story in the struggle for women’s rights in Singapore. I was quite young when the events took place so it is great to hear first hand accounts of how it all went down. Juicy. Gripping. Brilliantly done. Who would have thought such a story a story about an NGO in Singapore would be so gripping! 😆 reminds me of Serial. As a non-Singaporean, I wasn’t aware of the actual story until after listening to the first episode and googling the story. I’m recommending this to everyone I know. Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes!
