  • Disappointed by the Switch from English to Swedish

I understand that it’s hard to speak English when your native language is Swedish, but it’s really hard to understand—even though I speak Danish. It’s truly a shame, as I used to listen to your podcast as a reward after my Wednesday intervals at 5 AM.

That being said, best of luck. You’re great personalities!

  • One of the best

New running podcast, but one of the best. Binged all episodes over Christmas. Lots of useful info, insights into running community but also great chat.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

03. Training Talks - David Lipman and Victor Smångs
Q: How do you improve LT1 training?
To improve LT1, focus on training in and around that level, while also accumulating volume through easy runs. It's important you establish a strong base by running frequently at or just below LT1.
02. Training Talks - Tobias Schmid from Core and Victor Smångs
Q: How should I introduce heat training as a rookie?
You need to take it quite carefully; it's good to do some short heat sessions after your normal training.
39. The Nerdy Special With Victor & Mads
Q: How much focus should I put on my Garmin HRV measure? Does a low HRV mean that training stress and general stress on the body should be lowered for a while?
Mads advises looking at HRV as a context-dependent measure, where a low HRV might indicate the need to adjust training when accompanied by low feelings or other stressors.
39. The Nerdy Special With Victor & Mads
Q: How do you fuel for low intensity sessions on the bike?
Mads suggests he fuels with beets, bananas, and apple juice, while also emphasizing the need for proper nutrition and the search for sponsorships to improve his training. He encourages careful fueling strategies before and during training sessions.
36. The Big Energy and Fueling Special with Robert Gorgos
Q: What is your advice for a 10k race regarding carbohydrate intake before the race?
I would recommend 2 to 3 grams of carbohydrates per kilogram of body weight consumed around 3 to 4 hours before the start for optimal performance.
