Reviews

4.7 out of 5 stars from 12 ratings
  • Stupid opinions

It’s easy to tear down a film and voice, a bad opinion, which is what these guys do. For instance, their opinion of the 1972 film The Doberman Gang just shows you how immature their opinions are. If they want the broadcast to grow, they need to have a better biased review

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 246 - Ppowder Ppup
Q: What was the primary aim of the film's social media strategy as discussed on the show?
The hosts argue that the movie appears to aim for virality and brand synergy more than telling a coherent story, using an Instagram-ready dog as a central hook while keeping actual social presence relatively hollow within the film, which the hosts see as a cynical marketing tactic.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ruff Cuts

A humorous, ensemble-led critique of dog-centric and cult cinema, focused on playful rants, affectionate roasts, and surprisingly insightful takes on how low-budget films leverage dogs, chaos, and weird tonal shifts. The show stands out for its breezy banter, long-running bit humor, and a flexible, audience-engaging discussion style that makes wild premises feel both nostalgic and entertaining to explore.
