Reviews

4.6 out of 5 stars from 1.7k ratings
  • Interesting topics

The topics are interesting but the delivery is maddening. Listening to 30+ minutes of discourse where “um”, “uh”, and “like” are every third word is obnoxious. Moreover, the constant upspeak undermines the points being made, making the hosts sound unsure about what they are saying.

  • Good content, but the voices…

I’m always interested in the content, but they talk over each other constantly . It’s so annoying.

  • Matt, give it a rest

I really like both of these guys and each of their political perspectives, but Matt really needs to learn how to play well with others and share the air, or get a minder to keep him in line. His natural speech cadence makes it difficult to know when to chime in with a thought, and the result is often just a Matt filibuster. We’re here for Brian, too.

  • Dripping Sarcasm gets old fast

Mathew Y’s tone, dripping sarcasm and know-it-all phrasing makes this podcast unbearable to listen to for more than 5 minutes. The vocal fry is so irritating — and that goes for all the podcasters ranging from Tim Miller to these guys.

  • Brian is good but

Matt does not have the voice OR the conversational etiquette to make a podcast. Grating and obnoxious and constantly interrupting. Someone I would just hate to talk to in real life.

Q: What should be the core strategy for a fighting opposition party in the near term?

Defining Shutdown Down
Q: Do you think that the tactical decision to limit the shutdown was wise?

Wikler outlines that the DNC chair leads an organization focused on supporting Democrats in winning elections and facilitating communication among party members.

Politix Christmas Mailbag
