  • Brilliant Informative

Best way to kick off your weekend is to jump on and listen to the boys as they chat with trainers then go into the Melb Form Preview - Best two hours of radio on a Saturday

  • Belatedly good

The information provided by the hosts & expert tipsters is insightful and wonderfully useful. I especially like the short segments analysing each race on the card.

What lets this down is that the recordings aren’t uploaded for hours.

If I can’t listen live and want to catch up soon after, you’d think that by 11:30 am I might have a chance. Nope. Beyond then is virtually useless.

  • Speed is of the essence

Hey RSN are you fair dinkum ?

Coz if you are you would have your programs ready to download within minutes, rather than weeks after the races are over

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The First Word - Mitch Freedman 16/5
Q: Is the idea to try and get the back of Jimmy Starr? Is he the horse you'd like to trail into the race, Mitch?
Mitch suggests there are several horses they could tuck in behind to gain position and bring Skybird into the straight, while watching track pattern and adapting strategy as conditions unfold.
The First Word - Michael Kent Jnr 11/4
Q: How's he come back from that run in the Manfred?
He's come back very well; he didn't have long off. Three weeks paddock, two weeks dressage and then back in the stable. He goes very well fresh up, two wins from two starts, and he loves soft ground.
The First Word - Michael Kent Jnr 11/4
Q: You got two runners in the Redelver in Adelaide before we let you go, Michael. How's he come back from that run in the Manfred?
He's come back very well; he didn't have a long spell, he had a short paddock break and then resumed training, and he's been fresh and ready to go with solid form lines.
The First Word - Michael Kent Jnr 11/4
Q: Well, I'm going to put on Display on top. I think she's drawn a sweet gate. She's third up and well, she's group one place. We've always thought she's got a nice race in her this year. So who's on top for you among the three in the Anniversary Vars?
Display is on top for me given her draw and consistent form; Taken and Golden Path are close behind, but Display has the most favorable setup today.
The First Word - Michael Kent Jnr 11/4
Q: Good morning to you, Michael. Good team of runners going to the races at Caulfield this morning. Who's the horse that you're most excited about running today?
I'm really excited about the unbeaten colt Bugsy and the way he showed himself in the trial and prep; he's green but talented, and we're hopeful he'll step up under today's pressure with a strong display alongside our other horses like Golden Path and Display.
