  • Simmo!

Adam Simpson is the best analyst in the AFL. He’s balanced, considered, incredibly intelligent and has zero time for hot takes or sensationalism. Never appreciated him as a coach but I listen to his every word as a media person. Outstanding.

  • Means Test (aka The Pies Show)

I havent listened to SEN all season. Put this show on because it used to be about stats and tactics. Now Bucks talks about the Pies with a tear in his eye. He occasionally provides reserved opinions on other topics, but it always gets brought back to the Pies. Im never listening again.

  • Bruce McAvaney wannabe

Whateley is just an annoying little man whose opinion matters nothing. Malcolm Blight was the best thing but thats gone… snoozefest overall.

  • Sanctimonious

Used to be good, but last several years he has become quite insufferable and now comes across as a very arrogant person who thinks he’s bigger than the game. His thinly veiled jabs at anything western Australian are quite childish too

Molly Jovic | Melbourne Mavericks netballer (11.06.26)
Q: How would you describe the momentum and confidence around the team as the season peaks?
Momentum has built steadily, the team is peaking at the right time, and beating strong opponents like the Vixens and Fever has reinforced belief in the squad.
Molly Jovic | Melbourne Mavericks netballer (11.06.26)
Q: What does finals locked in mean for you guys this weekend?
With finals secured, we can approach the game with more freedom, experiment with combinations, and focus on maintaining momentum.
Molly Jovic | Melbourne Mavericks netballer (11.06.26)
Q: How exciting was the win over the Vixens?
It was incredibly exciting, a big shift for the team, and it showed the new team dynamics and confidence heading into finals.
Michael Christian - Mid-season review | AFL Match Review Officer (02.06.26)
Q: Give us your overall assessment at the halfway mark from the MRO's perspective.
The halfway point shows a quieter season with fewer severe incidents and a strong positive shift in player behavior toward avoiding dangerous actions. There has been a notable drop in weeks suspended compared with prior years, and the guidelines have provided flexibility to tailor penalties to the actual impact, particularly in concussion cases. The changes, including clearer rules around head-high contact, gut punches, and marking contests, have driven consistency and safety, though there remain grey areas that require careful, case-by-case judgment.
