  • Quality

Top drawer podcast, provides strong insight from industry players and pundits. One small observation, while we don’t expect Shakespearean delivery from tipsters, thou shall not commit grievous harm to the English language. It’s versus not “verse”. And you really need to do something about the audio levels on sponsored intros like “early crow” which peak at ear-piercing Everest levels.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trent Edmonds On Giddy Up (06/04/26)
Q: So what do you do with her now? What's her ceiling?
Her ceiling looks bright as she continues to improve; I'd like to target black-type races, potentially in Adelaide, and keep her to five or six furlongs to let her develop and learn to switch off and go through her gears.
Trent Edmonds On Giddy Up (06/04/26)
Q: Yeah, were you expecting that from her on Saturday?
Yes, I was hoping she would run very well, though there were concerns about the barrier and the step up in distance; she handled it, delivered a strong performance, and the team was encouraged by how she pulled up.
Ascot Preview w/Peter Anthonisz (26/03/26)
Q: And on Saturday, there is rain predicted. What are you hearing?
Peter and Gareth discuss the likelihood of rain affecting the track and races, with plans to potentially adjust which races are run or postponed, and to reassess form with wetter conditions.
Giddy Up Full Show (26/03/26)
Q: What is the best bet outside the features?
Pete asks guests for best bets beyond the major races; multiple guests nominate top contenders with good current form and favorable track conditions.
Peter Fitzgerald On Giddy Up (30/03/26)
Q: What are we looking forward to today; any particular lot stand out for you?
There will be a run of action later in the day, with mid-day highlights and big vendors like Whidden, Newgate, and Arafield showcasing top colts; the standout is a mid-day Enberha Colt for Whidden who is expected to perform strongly, while overall there is excitement about the late-day activity and the potential for further big results.
