Love this podcast! Caitlin’s voice is perfect for storytelling and I love how she weaves interviews with fairytales exploring myths and how they have evolved over time.
Also love her patreon ❤️
This is a wonderful podcast for the imaginative and the curious; for anyone wanting to connect deeper to their culture through stories. I’m thoroughly enjoying it and love the conversations around the history, morals, and other thought provoking topics of each story. Folktales truly are a way for us to connect to our past and our ancestors.
This is absolutely beautiful. Dripping wisdom and grace. Thank you!
I think this one of the best podcasts on story and story telling I wish there were more episodes. I know that so much work goes into each new podcast and therefore I will patiently wait like a kid for Christmas. Thank you Caitlin for all you do.
If you have any interest in folklore, legend, mythology, ect. or just want to know what the heck is even the difference between them all, I highly suggest this podcast.
I don’t think I can articulate the excellence of this podcast. I have listened to so many folklore/fairytale/mythology podcasts, yet this is the only one approached with detail, history and context, as well as room for personal and psychic interpretation. Thank you so much for both your diligent research as well as your empathetic approach to one of humanities greatest assets; our stories.
I’m in love with this podcast
So interesting, informative, entertaining, and her voice! So smooth and elegant. My only complaint is that there needs to be more episodes more frequently please!
Can’t wait for the new one!
First off Caitlin’s velvety voice makes this podcast a real treat to listen to, the information and explorations into the tales is what seals the deal. I’m finding myself learning all these little details I’ve never encountered before so I can’t recommend giving this podcast a listen enough!
I loved this podcast so much. As with a book - I was unable to put it down. Caitlin’s beautiful voice made it easy listening and the research behind the stories made it compelling and utterly fascinating listening.
I recently discovered this podcast and I don’t think that I can adequately describe how it makes me feel. I have always been interested in folk and fairy literature and this podcast brings so much meaningful and interesting discussion around the topic. More so, Caitlin creates a kind of magical cocoon around the listener with her voice and the music and the storytelling. It is truly a centering and beautiful break from the busy world and I hope it continues for years to come!
Caitlin Brehm does an amazing job of pulling together the history of fairy tales with comments and exposition from experts, all while maintaining and celebrating the mythical nature of the tales themselves. This kind of thinking, beyond and deeper than ourselves, is the medicine the world needs today.
How have I not already reviewed this? Absolutely one of my favourite podcasts. I learn so much each time and Caitlin’s wisdom and voice transport me to another world entirely. Magical, enchanting and informative. I love Roots of Lore!
This is definitely a marvellous podcast if you like tales and stories told beautifully this is it and much more.
Caitlin Brehm voice and tone make it and easy listening experience.
It’s clear to see that a lot of research has been done which makes it the more appreciable and her collaborators just had to the experience to the deep discovery of the meaning in time.
