  • Unlistenable

I tried one episode but had to stop. The lady in the show couldn’t get thru one sentence without saying like or you know or so um yeah.

I looked at the timer and started counting the number of likes she said in one minute. I got up to 12 and before the minute stopped I gave up and shut it off. Saying like 4 times in one sentence was the breaking point.

There’s dozens if not hundreds of movie related podcast out there. This one doesn’t need to exist.

  • Great conversations on classic films

I met Bryan earlier and he suggested I give this a listen, and so far, I’m not disappointed. I love your guy’s talks on these movies, and can’t wait to hear more in the future. If you ever talk about films like Big Fish or Lost Highway, maybe even hit me up!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
Q: So if you were, let's think about our other movies before, recommending this to your friends, what is it that you recommend about it?
Michelle recommends the film as a historical crime spree while warning viewers that it is not a precise retelling and should be read alongside real histories; she emphasizes the mythic portrayal by Penn and the compelling performances, especially Dunaway's, as reasons to watch.
Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)
Q: DJ, had you seen Fried Green Tomatoes before?
Yes, growing up in Georgia, it was pivotal; he saw it young and it shaped his view of the film.
The Ghost and the Darkness (1996)
Q: JD, what makes The Ghost and the Darkness stand out as a creature feature and why does it resonate with you?
JD explains that the creature focus—two man-eating lions—combined with real historical context and an emphasis on atmosphere, makes the film memorable; the tension comes from isolation and the unknown, not just on-screen action.
The Mummy (1999)
Q: Veronica, what's a remake movie you enjoy, maybe even more than the original?
Veronica cites The Mummy (1999) as a remake she enjoys, praising its innovative visuals and memorable set pieces that helped reboot the franchise's tone.
