  • Foul language

Helpful information, but the host’s language is distracting. I can find solid financial advice from another podcast and listen with my children in the car. Didn’t need to know about his bathroom habits.

  • High Informative

I listen to a lot of Personal Finance podcasts and this one is a great new spin and approach. The host CFK and his guests talk in a real way and break down topics that make it for the listener to understand. Doesn’t matter where you are in your finance journey you will pick up good pieces of info if you’re listening to this one.

  • Great Explanation’s

I’m not going to lie, I’m not super interested in finances. But this guy easily explains some things that everyone should know, and makes it interesting. The guests also seem knowledgeable and have some good perspectives that they add! Will continue to listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

HerFinIQ ft. Jessica Perrone, AFC®
Q: What would you say to someone who's afraid of losing money when investing?
Educate yourself about risk, start with small, regular contributions (like workplace plans), understand your time horizon, and use questions to guide conversations with advisors to ensure your choices align with your goals.
HerFinIQ ft. Jessica Perrone, AFC®
Q: Can you explain what AFC credential means and how it informs your coaching?
The AFC credential represents a holistic approach to financial coaching that includes budgeting, debt reduction, and risk awareness, not just investing, which helps address clients' emotional and practical money needs.
Daycare Discussion ft. Daycare Diva
Q: Does paying more to teachers depend on the center's ratios (e.g., one teacher per three children vs. one per six) and would that affect pay?
The hosts note that ratios are largely set by state regulations and do not automatically determine teacher pay, though accreditation can influence staffing costs and pay if centers pursue higher standards; in practice, pay scales are constrained by funding and the affordability pressures on parents.
(UPDATED AUDIO FILE): Ending the Cost Crisis and the Debt Funeral with One Simple Fee ft. JW Carpenter
Q: How would the fee be collected and who would handle enforcement?
The fee would be collected at the exchange during settlement, with both sides of a transaction contributing, and the specifics of fee splitting or allocation would require further design work to optimize fairness and efficiency.
(UPDATED AUDIO FILE): Ending the Cost Crisis and the Debt Funeral with One Simple Fee ft. JW Carpenter
Q: What is the core idea behind replacing current taxes with a single transaction fee?
The host and guest discuss replacing multiple taxes with a uniform fee (0.3-0.4%), collected at the exchange, to simplify tax compliance, reduce government complexity, and fund national debt repayment, while potentially lowering overall tax friction for many taxpayers.
