  • Real Conversations That Actually Go Deep

I’ve had the privilege of joining Andy Grant on Real Men Feel for episodes 301 and 303, and I’m honored to be returning for episode 400.

  • Real Men DO Feel (And I'm Glad I Do)!!

When Andy and I first connected, we knew an on-air conversation was going to blow up with great positive energy...and also burn down all the BS about how men are not 'supposed to' feel (and show) emotion. Like Brothers from Another Mother, we instantly knew we'd BOTH been through some stuff and were willing to shine a light so that others would not feel they have to suffer in silence.

This is LIFE...and you can't always just 'walk it off' or 'rub some dirt on it and get back in the game'.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

One Man's Experience with IVF: Masculinity and Healing
Q: What do emasculating and sterile mean in your IVF experience?
Emasculating felt like a lack of purposeful duty despite having the ability to help; sterile described the clinical, transactional feel of some medical encounters and the sense that IVF had become the business of making babies rather than a compassionate medical process. He emphasizes that the male role often centers on support, not control, and that there is no single right way to navigate this journey.
From Shame to Power: Emotional Alchemy and Masculinity
Q: What does emotional alchemy mean to you in practical terms?
It's a three-part process: first becoming aware of emotions in the body, then articulating that feeling in real time, and finally processing by staying with the energy until it resolves, which can lead to meaningful transformation.
Redefining Strength Emotional Fitness and Vulnerability
Q: When men first hear the phrase Emotional Fitness, what do you mean by it? and what's the most common expectation of what it means?
It means empowering your body through emotions; it challenges the stereotype that emotions are weakness and emphasizes facing and processing emotions to release stored energy through fitness.
Reinventing Yourself: Autonomy, Competence, and Connection
Q: What are the four phases to reinvention?
The four phases start with understanding how you got here, building a foundation of who you are and what you value, exploring possibilities, and then testing them through low-stakes experiments to gather real-world feedback.
Reinventing Yourself: Autonomy, Competence, and Connection
Q: What made you go from decades in corporate strategy and high tech into coaching?
I noticed how resistance to change often stems from grief—fear of losing relationships and the competencies built over years—so reinvention coaching digs deeper than traditional career coaching to address identity and meaning.
