Elihu finally spits it the fuck out (kind of) in Job ch. 33. It's exactly as exciting as you'd think.
We don't understand why the world hates women, Dan talks about his Sicilian ex-boss and we skip to the best part of Job where the speaker won't spit it the fuck out.
The first have gets weird with some existentialism and a noteable day for Dan. Then Job Ch. 12 happens and Dan decides he hates this entire god damned book now.
He has a terrible voice for podcast.
It is difficult, in good faith, to argue the infallibility of one English translation of the Bible. Dan argues--admittedly, in bad fatih--for the exact opposite. For those of you looking for a closer relationship with The Scripture--keep looking. For those who think a close read of an ancient tribe's oral tradition, combined with loosely-curated decades-later accounts would result in absurdity--look no further.
I've enjoted this show for a long time. It's always supplied great jokes, but Dan also has some really insightful analysis of The Bible. The Bible is probably the most mocked and studied book of all time, but Dan Weber is somehow able to make fun of it in ways that feel new. I reco, mend it much!
Nope.
Funny and educational!!
