  • Very informative

This is my FAVORITE podcast, it’s very up to date and very informative. I also find this podcast very easy to follow and not robotic at all. I often repeat older episodes when I’m all caught up.

  • Excellent

Excellent for keeping up with newest issues and research in Radiology with helpful insight and explanations that I greatly appreciate as a trainee. Sound quality is great, as is the cadence and clarity of content, especially compared to a few other radiology podcasts out there. Highly recommended, my favorite radiology podcast so far.

  • Too robotic

This podcast has a lot of potential but I have a hard time listening and following along. It sounds like they are reading from a script most of the time and the conversation doesn’t flow normally. Most podcasts work well when the host/hosts engage in conversation or act like they are storytelling.

Also, I’m not sure what the target audience is but I would assume graduate level or above with knowledge of radiology. However it seems like they are explaining information as though the audience does... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Rise of Deepfake Medical Imaging
Q: What safeguards or future solutions did you discuss to prevent fake data from contaminating practice or training data?
Possible safeguards include cryptographic hashing and watermarking to verify authenticity, as well as potential verification layers within imaging systems to flag synthetic content and prevent contamination of large databases.
The Rise of Deepfake Medical Imaging
Q: How easy is it today for someone with no coding skills to generate clinically plausible X-rays?
It's surprisingly easy with modern tools; even students or non-technical individuals with basic imaging knowledge can prompt the system to produce plausible radiographs, which underscores the need for safeguards and verification in imaging pipelines.
The Rise of Deepfake Medical Imaging
Q: Can you briefly go over the objectives of the study and what you found?
We aimed to assess whether state-of-the-art AI-generated radiographs could be mistaken for real ones by radiologists, both before and after informing participants about AI generation, and we found that even in a blind setup, many images were misidentified, illustrating a real danger in clinical practice.
Incidental Adnexal Lesions
Q: How do results align with ACR recommendations?
Findings are largely consistent with ACR guidance, which recommends CT for confidently characterizable lesions and ultrasound/MRI for further workup of less clear cases.
Incidental Adnexal Lesions
Q: How does CT compare to ultrasound in evaluating ovaries or adnexal lesions?
Ultrasound better characterizes internal architecture and vascularity, making it more reliable in differentiating cystic versus solid components, especially when CT shows ambiguous results.
