  • Behind the scenes interviews, little analysis of the show

I was really looking forward to some analysis of the show, but found myself spending more time skipping over rambly interviews than anything else. How does one go from a career in skateboarding to a career in movie makeup? What is it like being a film editor? Interesting if that’s your thing, but really boring if you wanted to hear about the meaning and interpretations of the show.

  • I knew it was The Cask of Amontillado from the beginning

I guess if you read a bunch of Poe like I do you could figure out the jester was from The Cask of Amontillado, along with the song Another Brick in the Wall and a shot of the wall. Someone got buried in there, I assumed by the Ushers in 1980. I assumed Verna was Raven jumbled up and she had a bird mask at the funeral. I thought she was the herald of death to a horrible criminal family but didn’t guess the deal. But it makes sense that there is a deal so none of the Ushers even get caught in th... more

  • Psychoanalysis is NOT the premise for this show.

I thoroughly enjoyed the interviews with the crew; however, this show barely tackles psychoanalysis. Unfortunately, the title is highly misleading, so I cannot recommend this show for people interested in psychology.

  • Good but has volume problems

I really enjoy the content. The rapport between the hosts is good as are the guests. But the volume on the male host is so low I can barely hear him at the highest volume setting. Then the other host starts talking and it is extremely loud. I think she is calibrated normally but sounds too loud because of problems with the other host. This discrepancy makes this podcast unlistenable. Note that I’ve noticed this in last two episodes but a previous one didn’t have that problem.

  • Fantastic!

Love the Hulu Patient podcast! But there seems to be a problem with the volume differentiation between the speakers.

  • Love this idea!

Having a pod cast to discuss the series episodes is like having a book club to discuss a novel with friends! The pod cast adds to the weekly episode by letting the viewers dive into each shows content with different view points from not only the hosts but actors from the series too! A great idea!

  • Psychoanalyzing the Patient

This podcast is great so far! I’m really enjoying the Fox/Hulu show The Patient, and this podcast is an essential companion to the show. They do a deep dive of each episode, interviewing psychologists who have really interesting perspectives on what it’s like to be a therapist as well as a serial killer! Lindsay and Stacey are smart and funny and really play off each other well. I can’t wait for the next episode and hope they will “psychoanalyze” more shows after this one!
