  • Too many commercials

I can’t get through an episode because of the commercials. If they didn’t have 50 commercials, the podcast would not be an hour.

  • Thank you.

I want to thank you for your wonderful podcast. You always bring joy to my heart. I just finished listening to the one on ADHD. MY 52-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with it. This has helped her so much to understand herself. I appreciate all the insight, advice and ideas you brought up. May the Lord bless you both. I sometimes think about meeting you in heaven one joyous day.

493 How My Bipolar Diagnosis Brought Me Closer to God with Sarah Fox
Q: What advice would you give to someone whose church community seems unprepared to respond with compassion?
Find safe places to be honest, look for supportive allies outside the immediate circle, and educate your community—gently—so they can respond with presence and practical help rather than judgment or clichés.
493 How My Bipolar Diagnosis Brought Me Closer to God with Sarah Fox
Q: What helped you move from anger and doubt toward healing?
Acknowledging the pain, seeking therapy, and allowing people around me to support me while still bringing my questions to God helped me. It was important to accept help and trust that God could meet me through clinicians, family, and community.
493 How My Bipolar Diagnosis Brought Me Closer to God with Sarah Fox
Q: Could you share how your faith influenced your initial response to the bipolar diagnosis and the setback you felt?
Faith was a core part of my life, and I leaned on prayer and belief that God was with me. The crisis forced me to confront that faith in a new way, realizing that seeking professional help and medicine could coexist with spiritual growth rather than contradict it.
479 Sustained by a Living Hope with Mariel Davenport
Q: Why is deeper study and relationship with God through Scripture important beyond merely knowing facts?
Because God's Word is about intimate relationship with a living God, not academic knowledge; knowing God transforms you and shapes your life, whereas factual knowledge alone can be hollow without an ongoing relationship.
479 Sustained by a Living Hope with Mariel Davenport
Q: What is the Tend method, and how did you develop it?
The Tend method is an inductive approach to Bible study encapsulated in an acronym: Take Time to Pray, Examine the Scripture by writing verses by hand, Notice the Lesson about God's character, Do What It Says by applying the text, leading to fruit over time; it grew from her own experience tending a garden and seeing how care and consistency yield growth.
