  • Bite sized movie fun

I’m not the biggest podcast person due to the length of the episodes, however, Leigh & Tim’s short episode lengths and to the point and direct (and also light and humorous) approach to talking about movies is very much up my alley. They’re both really nice people too. A nice and easy listen, it feels like you’re just talking with a friend after seeing a movie.

Indya Moore unfiltered on family, grief and identity
Q: Now, the time and attention you gave Jim Jarmusch's script, you know, bringing this film to life. How did you respond when you first read the script?
Indya says they felt emotionally connected and cried while reading, affirming the world the script builds and the emotional beats they connected with.
Luke Hemsworth gives us the Deadloch ick
Q: Did you get to improvise much with this character, and how does that process work with the Kate's writing?
He confirms there is some on-the-fly adjustment, but emphasizes that the Kate's writing is strong and usually outshines improvised lines; improvisation is used to hit beats and keep the energy alive without losing the script's core structure.
Luke Hemsworth gives us the Deadloch ick
Q: What were your first impressions of this character when you first read the part?
Hemsworth describes Jason Wade as a fair exterior with a questionable interior, a compelling mix that presents audiences with a figure who is both likable and unsettling, and he notes how the role blends performance with real-world territory flavor.
Joel Edgerton gets real about boy behaviour and The Plague
Q: Is it true that you were originally going to direct the film at first, and like why you ultimately decided against that here?
Joel explains he considered directing but chose to support Charlie Pollinger from the sidelines because the script and Charlie's short films showed strong directorial potential, so he opted to help with producing and connections rather than direct, in order to protect the director's vision.
Ready or Not's Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett on breaking rules and gushing blood
Q: How much fake blood did you go through making this film?
The team was told 325 gallons of fake blood were used, not counting extensive on-set testing and prep, underscoring the film's heavy reliance on practical effects.
