In regards to your interview with Tony Abbott about his new history of Australia book. I think the thing that is missing when people write and talk about what colonisation bright to modern Australia is what the original inhabitants brought. I would love to read scholarship about how Australia’s unique Aussie vibe is a result of interactions with the first people and the impact they had on the way out Democracy and national “personality” evolved.
