  • Strange Occupations

Frank Edward Nora’s rambling narration is at once surreal, ephemeral and familiar. Like a warm bowl of stew on a brisk, rainy day, The Overnightscape nourishes and restores us. Dreams and road trips and malls and snacks and cigars and… steel drum Dixieland rag time music? A old-timey radio show in the purest sense, yes. But, one that kisses the future and winks at the past with a longing nostalgia. I stared listening in 2006, or thereabouts. I’ve listened for hundreds of hours. Thousands even. ... more

  • Frank really knows how to put on a show, usually just by himself. Listen to Frank as he goes through his day. A pre-podcast bonanza.

  • Wonderfully simple and wonderfully excellent.

I’ve been listening to Frank Edward Nora’s The Overnightscape broadcasts since around 2006 (it’s had a few name changes over the years). It’s a wonderful show - full of ideas and insights that the host chooses to share with us. You may not agree with some things (but who agrees with anyone 100%?!) but it’s deliciously beautiful audio that documents the current time. Great stuff - give a few episodes a go and you’ll be hooked.
