  • Thorough analysis - Updated

I really enjoyed this first episode. I was expecting a bit of bias since a liberal MP was invited but pleasantly surprised to hear the hosts being accurate with every segment they touched.

    Update after the second episode:

Mickey Djuric can do a bit more to sound less biased. Her words always sugarcoat Liberals while subtly shading the Conservatives especially Pierre.

Would love to have less bias.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How close is Carney to a majority?
Q: What's the biggest difference between think-tank work and life now on Parliament Hill?
He explains that a non-partisan think tank lets you focus on the nub of the issue without partisanship, while Parliament Hill introduces a partisan layer aimed at presenting decisions to voters.
How close is Carney to a majority?
Q: You once taught legislators in Iraq how to be legislators. What was your first advice?
His first advice was to listen to your people, focus on your constituency, and represent their views in Parliament, especially in the midst of challenging environments where stability and representation matter most.
Is Trump making China great again?
Q: So talk to us about this poll. What really stood out to you about how the world thinks about the United States and how the world thinks about China?
The survey across Canada, Germany, France, the UK and the US shows that as the 18-month mark of the second Trump administration approaches, China is perceived by Canadians and Europeans as rising, with Beijing viewed as more reliable and the 21st century possibly belonging to China, which contrasts with the US narrative.
Carney walks the Iran tightrope | Richard Madan
Q: How will Poilievre's foreign policy pivot affect Canada's position in negotiations with the U.S. and allies?
Poilievre is positioning himself as a world-stage leader, advocating closer ties with like-minded allies and leveraging common interests, which could influence how Canada negotiates trade and security issues with the U.S. and other partners.
Cross-borders and floor crossers | Scott Aitchison
Q: What's the biggest difference between an Olympic town and Parliament Hill?
Everybody's happy in an Olympic town.
