I’m slightly biased as a Proud Alum of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and owe much of Life’s success to the environment that nurtured my growth. But even so, after listening to a single episode anybody that enjoys the competitive and pure tenacity of UMass Athletics, even the diversity of the scholastic paths available, will be inspired. Spoiler Alert for those, although , IMHO I don’t think there’s one, single person, who’s NOT familiar with my esteemed colleague;, fondly referred ... more
They’re having an excellent season (much better than the men’s team). Would love some interviews and updates!
Living way out on Cape Cod, I have found this to be the ideal way to keep up to date on Umass athletics. You can feel the excitement building for football as the program is laying a foundation for the future. I can follow along as the men’s basketball program works to regain the glory of the 1990s, and celebrate with men’s hockey as they compete to get back to another national championship game.
Umass is rising!
So glad I found this! UMass athletics is on the rise across the board, and this podcast is a terrific way to hear stories about players, coaches and alumni. Great job from Jay Burnham and company! #Flagship
Not as good as the UMass basketball podcast but I still will listen.

A listener-friendly mix of deep dives into UMass athletics, with a strong emphasis on hockey and basketball. Episodes thread game analysis, postseason paths, coaching perspectives, and player spotlights together with behind-the-scenes storytelling from the broadcasting booth. Notable is the recurring use of in-depth game-by-game breakdowns, leadership moments from captains and coaches, and a culture-forward narrative that highlights program growth, discipline, and community support. This show seems well-suited for UMass fans and sports professionals seeking authentic, inside-the-booth insights and long-form conversations with coaches and athletes tied to the university's programs.
