  • Really nice hosts, but this has turned into much more banter about being a journaling influencer than anything useful I can use about journaling. I may check back in after it's gone a few more episodes and see how it's going.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Creativity vs Planning πŸ“™
Q: Do you think that creativity gets in the way of productivity though, when you're doing maybe too much?
It definitely can, as trying to meet an ideal can distract from the planner's purpose, which is to get things done.
Being a Planner Content Creator πŸ“™
Q: Mark, were you actually planning out content to put online, or were you flying by the seat of your pants?
In the beginning, I was flying by the seat of my pants, recording things impulsively without much structure.
Why We Plan
Q: When do you feel like you really took planning seriously?
The turning point for me was probably during university when I had a lot more responsibilities, prompting me to upgrade my project planning efforts.
Why We Plan
Q: What was your earliest memory of planning?
My earliest memory of planning was actually using school diaries in high school, which I used more for memory keeping rather than actual planning.
Why Bullet Journaling
Q: What has changed the most on how you use the bullet journal method?
Jess mentions evolving from seeing it as merely a list book to understanding the importance of mindfulness and intentionality behind journaling. Mark notes that he shifted from strictly following the bullet journal method to adapting it to fit his current needs at work.
