The Right DG Actual Play for Me
Found out about these guys in the DG reddit. As someone who loved Delta Green but doesn't get to play it much I devour a bunch of actual plays. My love started with Glass Cannons version when it was a side project during covid. Adored it. I love Call of Cthulhu but the 1920s setting just never did it for me. It's interesting and it can be done well but I prefer modern settings. Finding this was great. The right amount of humor, horror, and production value. The c... more
Excellent fun. Great GM, engrossing plots, great player chemistry. Comedic, serious, action, adventure, all to an 80s vibe. No prior knowledge of Shadowrun required. Neither rules nor lore. The players are learning as they play, and so do we.
I'm just waiting for CGL to publish scans of Ben's 11th printing of SR2. Maybe I'll be able to find some runners to play with.
Excellent sound quality. Irreverent fun. No prior system knowledge required which is a plus.
The best SR real play I know of (but I only really know the one.)
Previously, my exposure to Shadowrun was first, decades ago, playing the Super Nintendo game at my friend's. More recently, the Harebrained Schemes trilogy of computer games.
I really dig this show's vibe, chemistry among the friends, humor, 80s call backs, and good GMing. The GM keeps it interesting, tight, and forward moving. The missions and scenes are engaging. The player characters are a blast.
John! JOHN!! This is my new favorite SR podcast! Can’t stop listening and laughing!
