A strange case escalates quickly as unsettling visions and coincidences begin to stack up. By the time the shape of the "gift" becomes clear, it’s already far too late to simply walk away.

A holiday investigation drifts off the rails as the group uncovers something deeply wrong. Visions and warnings begin to pile up, pointing toward a larger pattern no one can quite name yet. What is this "gift" anyway?

A festive title inspires an improvised Call of Cthulhu story set during Saturnalia in Imperial Rome. Prophecy, sacrifice, and cosmic horror! Merry Saturnalia, I guess.

Like listening to an audiodrama with a behind-the-scenes peek from start to finish.
Even if you're not a fan of TTRPGs, every mini-series pulls off a magic trick of an improvised story that is hilarious, disturbing, and compelling, complete with professional sound design and capturing the vibe of a group of friends having fun (if such friends were incredibly talented improvisers, comedians, and performers). If so inclined, the bonus talk show on Patreon is also very fun.

Hard to find a group with so little chemistry or humor. Goes to show that enthusiasm alone doesn’t make for good content. And if you can’t do an accent, maybe practice it off mic before bringing it to the recording.
Came to check this out because of how awesome Ross has been on Dropout. Super glad I did
It’s very confusing to listen to the show sometimes. There’s no transition between episodes or ad breaks so it can be hard to reconnect. There’s also not all that much comedy for a show that puts it in the topline.
Also, there are SO many ads in just a one hour show. Like 20 minutes of the 60 minute show is so much
I’ve been a huge fan of Ross Bryant since his first turn on the GCP and this series really showcases his talents (and those of the rotating cast of his talented friends).
The interpretation of the prompt of “why does that windmill bleed so” into a Cthulhu Moulin Rouge was particularly insightful and the cast rose to the occasion.
Probably my favorite actual play short series ever.
