  • Bring Jim back

Was a great podcast when Jim was the host. This was my favorite podcast and I looked forward to it each week. Now it’s just another average CRE podcast.

  • “Right?”

If the guests on the hosts didn’t say “right?” at the end of every sentence, the shows would be about 5 min long

I have enjoyed the new podcast, and have learned a lot about syndications. I consider myself more of a center fielder - i have both my 401(k) and stock investments, and i have 22 doors as well as 2 syndication investments.

I was shocked to hear this latest podcast. I strongly wonder how Chris Miles can call himself a "financial advisor" without knowing these facts, as these are very basic for even non-CFP advisors.

  • 4% Rule Episode was less than stellar

I thought the 4% rule episode had nice points and I understood what they were saying, but I think they were a bit biased and went a little too far in their analysis…. I know plenty of people who exclusively utilize mutual funds or stocks to become financially free. It’s a proven strategy. Just because the study is old doesn’t mean there isn’t truth in it or the math still doesn’t work.

This show is so needed and could be so great. But I listened to my first episode and it’s a non-economist spouting off theories.

If you are going to talk about the economy, please have an expert on, not a biased individual who focuses on real estate for a living. And please focus on syndications - this is the kind of thing you can get on the other BP network, it’s redundant and goes against what should be a very niche area.

LP Deal Review: Origin Investments Select Asset Fund | Michael Episcope
Q: How is the co-invest portion structured relative to the fund investment?
The minimum fund investment is $500,000, with the option to co-invest another $500,000 on a one-to-one basis; full co-invest requires a $1 million commitment to the fund. Larger groups can pool via an investment club for a combined minimum.

Q: What was the Cash on Cash, IRR, and MOIC for the office deal Ash described?
Ash describes a deal with 16 buildings at 5,200 square feet each, purchased for 3.5 million after a 4.9 million asking; it targeted high occupancy, planned turnkeys, and eventual sale at 10x-ish returns through a mix of small tenant spaces and owner-occupied setups, aiming for roughly 18% cash-on-cash with an eventual multi-property exit strategy.
