  • Finally!

Listened to The Secret Garden episode. Went thru 3 different podcasts til I found this one and knew I was in the right place when at the 8 minute mark one of the hosts highlighted that Roger Deakins was the DP of this treasured film. Finally! A podcast that goes into nostalgia with substance. Bravo!

  • It’s fine

A lot of contrariness for the sake of contrariness. Sometimes they’ll even trash a piece of media just to say later that they actually did like it.

  • amc interview with the vampire

was recced this podcast for this episode and well…for a show where one of the actors has said he actively seeks out things like this, that comment about him was unnecessary (and rude) and just objectively wrong. could’ve been edited out.

Ep. 311: Robert Eggers' Nosferatu
Q: Do you have a more positive view?
Yes, it's interesting to know a story this well makes it harder to be shocked, which is why the film needs to convey scares through filmmaking instead of just the story.
