Lazy Ade actually stated publicly that he thought he just had to turn up to a lunch and get drunk. He wasn't any good as a presenter anyway, talking over people and you could hear him getting more and more intoxicated. Please, could we have Jay Rayner back?? He was absolutely fabulous. If not him, please could we have someone who actually cares about others and doesn't just love to talk about himself. My respect for him has plummeted! I gave this 5* in 2019 but it's lucky to get 2 this time... more
I agree with another reviewer here, Ade doesn’t let the guests speak enough.
Doesn’t work - hearing people slurp soup or banging cutlery is not ideal . Edmondson constantly talks over guests.
But the audio is awful in places. It’s 2024 mics are so cheap and I promise I’d edit this for free but the audio mix can be so frustrating becuse I can’t hear what people are saying.
Not just the guests but the servers are too far away. Sponsors and ads all over it but for an audio podcast it’s no better than dropping a phone in the middle of the table and saying “that’ll do”
I love Ade but sort the audio out.

I like this podcast a lot; the original version with Jay Rayner was fantastic, but it doesn't look like it will continue. That's a shame. I give it four stars because the show's producers have not provided an update in half a y... more
