I am so thankful that the Lord brought me to this podcast. It’s truly been life changing! Mandisa and Dr. Laura are incredibly gifted in “speaking truth in love”. Their conversations are filled with biblical wisdom on mental health topics that are so needed and timely. It’s encouraging, uplifting, transparent, honest, thoughtful and SO relatable. I find myself nodding and saying, “Yes and Amen!” to practically everything they share. I love Mandisa’s thoughtful questions and desire to understand... more
I love listening to this podcast. I too go through seasons of deep clinical depression and struggle with using food as a comfort (and really a drug). Listening to you ladies talk about mental illness from an honest and vulnerable place and bringing it all back to the Lord is so encouraging to my heart. I am so grateful for this wonderful podcast! I struggle with depression and severe anxiety and just the sound of your calm and happy voices stabilizes me and helps me make the daily effort to be at least potentially productive;) Whenever I listen I’m always fully engaged, interested, and exited to be learning so much in such a pleasant way. My only complaint is that there aren’t more…yet. I hope you’ll pick it up again sometime—whenever you get the time….I’ve listened to each episode once, some ... more
I really like this podcast and look forward to having it resume. It helps me understand myself and others better and is a jewel in the land of a subject matter that often lacks God’sperspective and truth. Such a relief!
I LOVE this series!! I had struggled with severe depression for decades and especially love Mandisa's openness and vulnerability. I had never heard or thought that one could have "relapses" of depression but it explains a lot! more
