Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

8-31-26 - Monday Full Show - Sox come out of a bad weekend | Gonzo drama
Q: What's the big concern heading into the postseason for the Red Sox?
The panel emphasized a need to restore power and consistency in hitting, especially with home runs, and to stabilize pitching and defense down the stretch to avoid slipping further in the standings.
Chad Tracy joins, talks epic comeback win and playoffs prep
Q: Chad, I'm sure you saw the notes going around about Mickey Gasper's month compared to legendary players. What was the thinking behind the short-term move and his return timeline?
The plan was to rest Mickey briefly and keep him ready; his energy and production were key, but we needed to manage rest to prevent further wear and keep him contributing as the roster expanded. The conversation involved timing and how to best support the team in the short term while recognizing his role in turning the season around.
HR 1 - Another late Red Sox rally to take the win in extra innings!!!
Q: Where does last night's victory rank in recent Sox games?
Chad Tracy places it among the top performances, citing a combination of late-inning drama, comeback execution, and strong bullpen and hitting contributions.
HR 4 - It's time for the Sox to put up
Q: What do we expect from Paez tonight?
The host team expects Paez to throw strikes, provide length, and capitalize on the bullpen's depth given Sonny's rest requirement; Tracy explains Paez's background and why he's a good fit for the start.
HR 4 - It's time for the Sox to put up
Q: Chad, did you get to meet any of the A-listers here last night?
The guests acknowledged they were aware of the famous attendees and could hear them cheering, but Tracy did not personally meet them.
