  • Entertaining, informative, but not stuffy

Opera is a wonderful, sometimes amazing art form. But learning about it can sometimes seem like doing homework.

Not with this podcast though. This is great for learning about Opera in general, and for learning about Opera current events. The people involved are knowledgeable, but don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s informative, but also fun.

I still sing and enjoy it, but recovery periods will take longer, and I need to be more mindful of my stamina.
Three Sisters! ft. Sondra Radvanovsky, Yuval Sharon, and Creatine Price
Q: Can we take the idea of destiny and carry it over to your concept for the Detroit Opera production?
Yes, absolutely. I think it's free will and the notion of whether the characters have free will at all.
How to Win a Grammy! ft. Nicholas Phan
Q: Did you sense that this was going to be something that would resonate with the audience and with the critics?
Nicholas admitted that the demanding nature of the piece left little room to think about reception during the process.
How to Win a Grammy! ft. Nicholas Phan
Q: How does it feel to be recognized for the distinct Nick Phan-ness of your career?

Così Fan Fiction! ft. Jacquelyn Stucker
Q: Do you feel like having succeeded as Poppaea for that same audience gave you a little bit of like, okay, she's got some, at least she's got some 17th century cred?
Yeah, I mean, it was, I've never done anything like Rameau because the orchestra was way bigger than I thought.
