Two of my most favorite collaborators sit down with me and talk about story telling. We get into everything show business and dive into speaking honestly at every turn. Hilarious, heart-felt and REAL.

My experience last weekend with a group of focused killers. Thoroughly impressed with what's going on up at Eastman School of Music

Why why why have such wonderful guests if you don’t let them talk? I guess all singers love the sound of their own voice, but then why bother having guests? Apart from that, love the pod ;)
I saw Ben Bliss as Ferrando in Cosi. He is a great Mozart singer and seems like such an interesting fellow. Please do part 2. He has great stories to tell.
This had to be one of the most inspiring episode. How David transformed his career was remarkable. I cannot imagine having to start from the bottom after achieving so much so quickly. Loved every minute of the 2.5 hours episode.
I was shocked by what John Elliot Gardiner did at the show. He must have lost his f-ing mind. I wonder how many times this happened behind close doors. It is also a bit annoying that if it was some other discretions, the outrage would have been severe and swift. I hope the young singer recovers from this incident.
I am referring to how US opera houses recover from COVID. Here in Seattle, the number of shows in a production generally has been cut to 6 shows max, 3 shows for each cast. Credit to the company for still hiring fine talents (the recent L’elisir was smashing), but I reckon it is really hard to attract both established stars and up and comers.
It is too great of an art form to die but we have to be realistic of what is feasible in regional houses.
