Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mark Carney had a bad week
Q: What happened with Carney that made it such a bad week?
Carney gave a hesitant, evolving set of responses about whether Canada would participate or send troops, which appeared to appease Trump initially but drew sharp media backlash and exposed perceived incoherence in his international policy stance.
Is Nate Erskine Smith the next leader of the Ontario Liberals?
Q: Are you going to run for the Ontario Liberal leadership?
I'm thinking about it. I am interested in the opportunity to make a difference.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Do you want to win?
I don't want to be the mayor of Montreal. I have no aspirations beyond being the counselor for the place that I live in, because I would like the place that I live in to be better.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Should they have body cams?
If it works, let's go. I mean, again, there's no option that's not on the table.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Should cops exist?
For certain situations, absolutely. There are certain jobs that these people have to be doing, and somebody has to do. But we can imagine we can find better people to be cops.
