Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is Nate Erskine Smith the next leader of the Ontario Liberals?
Q: Are you going to run for the Ontario Liberal leadership?
I'm thinking about it. I am interested in the opportunity to make a difference.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Do you want to win?
I don't want to be the mayor of Montreal. I have no aspirations beyond being the counselor for the place that I live in, because I would like the place that I live in to be better.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Should they have body cams?
If it works, let's go. I mean, again, there's no option that's not on the table.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: Should cops exist?
For certain situations, absolutely. There are certain jobs that these people have to be doing, and somebody has to do. But we can imagine we can find better people to be cops.
Punk Rock to Fixing Montreal's Chronic Illnesses
Q: So how will you, if you are elected, cope with the fact that the city is an entity of the province and almost all the funding comes from the Quebec government?
That in and of itself is a frustrating sort of scenario where you look at things where, you know, they've just given themselves all a raise. My hyper focus will be on the resources that are already available and the rules that are already in place and implementing them to the point of making everybody miserable around me who has to work with me.
