Wow. I’m so disappointed. Antizionism and antisemitism are not the same thing. At all. I hope someday soon Jesse Brown can overcome his irrational and emotional views on this. Just can’t bring myself to listen to Canadaland any more.
I have been listening to Canadaland for years but only started being a regular listener and subscriber recently. Jesse is a legend (although sometimes a bit much) and I like Noor and most of the other hosts, even though I don’t always agree with the angles presented. Overall, good audio journalism. Keep it up, guys!
I loved this show, but selective reading lost me. Bye friends, all the best in finding your way home.
Media criticism has given way to misinformation and cozying up to right wing media personalities like Ben Shapiro. At this point, if someone farts and a Jewish person happens to smell it, Jessie will declare it an incident of Jew hatred.
I’m unsubscribing now, because I’m tired of hearing genocide apologia.
Pretty good show. A good listen on my way to work or while walking the dog. The Thunder Bay series was excellent 👏🏻. I appreciate the neutrality. I don’t always agree with the views or takes of some of the hosts and guests but I don’t want to be in an echo chamber and always hear people talk about things that I already agree with. Keep up the good work!

Episodes cover everything from national media coverage of culture and politics to provincial battles, with recurring guests providing on-the-ground context and expert commentary. Notable strengths include rigorous debate, access to insiders and academics, and a willingness to scrutinize major institutions, media ecosystems, and policy outcomes. The format often combines long-form interviews, live event segments, and policy deep-dives, making it a strong fit for listeners who want accountability, nuance, and context on Canadian affairs while staying engaged with the media landscape that shape... more
