  • High Speed Rail Episode

Its really interesting listening to this episode, and hearing people talk about “generational farms” and “their land” and how that’s scary to them that it might be lost, or taken away from them. Even the episode’s picture is interesting - smiling, happy white protesters .. I can’t help but think of Canada’s First Nations People - the land that was stolen from them, their fight to protect land from pipelines and protect drinking water, etc, and how photos of their protests are often more militari... more

  • Fake anti-semetism

Used to be a good show I thought. Its been disappointing to see Jesse glob on this whole antisemitism fraud, that’s just going to erode free speech in this country. Why are all these synagogues always shot up at night when nobody’s there? There’s literally dozens and dozens of examples of Jewish people committing false flag hate crimes against themselves to portray themselves as victims. Where is the proof of antisemitism? I thought journalists need proof? Would be nice to see them talk about Is... more

  • No longer listenable

It's truly a shame something that was so innovative in the Canadian media landscape has turned into a complete lack of research, gaslighting, false pretexts, and abject racism towards indigenous voices and communities of colour.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Did Carney Support Trump's War on Iran?
Q: Do you regret your initial support of this war?
Yes, in part, because the early framing of the conflict as a necessary regime change did not fully account for the ongoing civilian harm and the complexities of regional dynamics, though there remains a belief that some pressure on the Iranian regime was warranted.
Canada Is Built on a Clause That Nobody Is Supposed to Use. What Happens Now That Everyone Is Using It?
Q: Why would the federal government intervene, and what is their interest in this case?
The federal government intervenes because it patriated the Constitution and views itself as a defender of the Charter and the nation-building project, aiming to ensure that the Charter's protections endure and that the governance framework remains workable across provinces.
Canada Is Built on a Clause That Nobody Is Supposed to Use. What Happens Now That Everyone Is Using It?
Q: Spell out for me the stakes here. How important is the ruling or the verdict of this case?
The stakes hinge on whether Canada maintains a robust charter and a shared understanding of rights; the ruling could affirm or constrain the use of the notwithstanding clause, affecting how laws that discriminate are balanced against rights, and influence national unity and perceptions of Canada as a diverse, inclusive society.
Carney’s Majority of Convenience
Q: What goes into a decision like this for someone that doesn't ideologically fit in the liberal tent?
Erika explains that decisions like crossing the floor are shaped by strategic calculations about leadership, caucus dynamics, and maintaining a broad enough tent to secure governance, while acknowledging personal and political risks.
Musk to Monetize Moon
Q: Why do you love space?
The guest explains a fascination with space as a catalyst for national identity, technological advancement, and curiosity about the universe, while noting how Canada's own space contributions add a uniquely Canadian angle to the global conversation.
