I really want to like this show, but these people know nothing it always seems. Every prediction they make is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously I would expect a left wing bias, but they are so blinded they can’t seem to accurately comprehend the mind of the Iowa GOP. This means they are clueless when discussing Iowa’s politics.
Knowledgeable people who discuss Iowa politics but I wish they’d just be honest that they have a liberal perspective. They essentially criticize everything the republicans do in Des Moines. That is their right but they should just make that clear so people don’t assume they are impartial

I started listening to this podcast when I knew I was moving to Iowa—have been here in the Cedar Valley since July 1 2022 and now I try to always listen for a recap on the week in Iowa politics. I’m tired of the labels of “liberal” and “conservative” which no longer have any meaning. If a listener doesn’t like a report they just call it the other label. Journalists report news. Thank goodness for local reporting! As a previous comment notes, it’s generally opinion and analysis from left biased reporters, it’s unfortunate that this bleeds through to their commentary. Since when do reporters not cast a critical (if jaundiced) eye on both sides of the aisle?
