  • Please polish up your scripts

Honestly feels like she asks Chat GPT for scripts, does no prep before pressing record and just wings it. Very very messy and I feel so awkward / uncomfortable listening to her struggling to read her scripts that I just have to turn it off. Please only give advice that you can actually speak on. If you aren’t actively using your own Google Business Profile, maybe don’t give advice on it. It shows that you went to Chat GPT for content and just to push out another episode.

  • Excellent Content Lost in Too Many “Likes”

The content of this podcast is genuinely wonderful, with thoughtful and relevant topics. Unfortunately, the listening experience is diminished by the constant use of filler words, especially “like,” which becomes distracting and takes away from the message. At times, it feels more like listening to a teenage conversation than a polished podcast - specially delivered by a business professional. With some refinement in delivery, this could be a truly great listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

the mother hired her OWN photographer mid wedding, help! (photographer advice column)
Q: How should you handle a mentor who turns into a bad financial experience or a pyramid-like program?
Call out concerns carefully but consider whether sharing experiences publicly can prevent others from being harmed, while avoiding personal attacks; seek accountability and, if possible, refunds or a resolution through professional channels.
the mother hired her OWN photographer mid wedding, help! (photographer advice column)
Q: What would you do if you caught another vendor passing off your photos as her own while you're at the reception?
The recommended approach is to collect evidence, report the post, and message the vendor publicly or privately with proof, demanding removal and explaining the legal and ethical implications to protect your work.
the mother hired her OWN photographer mid wedding, help! (photographer advice column)
Q: What do you do with crazy mothers of the groom when someone shows up with a camera that isn't your second shooter?
Cassidy advises setting firm boundaries, prioritizing the couple's timeline, and addressing the disruption calmly but decisively, potentially asking the mom to step back and focusing on getting the family photos for the couple rather than allowing the interruption to derail the session.
Shooting Chappell + Sabrina: Amanda B Films’ 3-Year Rise in Concert Photography
Q: What was your big break or first major opportunity with a high-profile artist?
Her big break came through a GovBall media team assignment with Respective, which led to collaborations with Lollapalooza, ACL, and eventually European tours when management noticed her work.

Q: What are the key publishing options and how would you advise someone to choose between them?
Traditional publishing offers a full team and distribution but comes with lower royalties and longer timelines; self-publishing gives creative control and higher royalties but requires handling logistics and upfront costs. Hybrid publishing sits in between, offering some support while sharing costs. Start with a clear plan and assess resources and goals.
