Reviews

4.1 out of 5 stars from 95 ratings
  • Good content, poor production

The information is solid and the topics are genuinely interesting—but the audio quality is rough. It sounds like it was recorded in a basement, with lots of echo and inconsistent volume. The host clearly knows the material but doesn’t have a strong podcasting voice, which makes it hard to stay engaged. With better sound engineering and delivery, this could be a fantastic medical podcast.

  • Solid science!

The Green Room does a nice job of highlighting a recent journal article from Obstetrics and Gynecology. Each episode features an interview with an author to get a behind the scenes look at the thinking/process behind the paper.

  • Good content, not good audio quality

I wanted to continue listening to the show because I think the content is so worthwhile, but the audio quality is often not good, making it extremely difficult to follow along.

  • Good info but not a dialogue

I would like the podcast to include community doctors. The commentators mention that they think their listeners are not residents, felllows and academics. But unless you have data on this, it seems unlikely. By the majority of subscribers are community generalists.... why not get their comments on how new information would be integrated into practice?

  • Poor sound

I love the idea but I cannot hear what the moderator is saying unless I turn the volume up really high.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Interventions to Reduce Disparities in Maternal Morbidity and Mortality
Q: What are the most actionable takeaways for clinicians and hospital administrators?
Prioritize upstream and multi-level interventions such as safety bundles for hemorrhage, support for postpartum navigation, and understanding Medicaid policy implementations; ensure that hospital leadership understands the benefits and rights of patients to access necessary tools and medications, and embed equity surveillance in program design.
Interventions to Reduce Disparities in Maternal Morbidity and Mortality
Q: Given all the national attention on this issue, why did you find so little rigorous intervention evidence, and what are the structural barriers to getting this research done?
The scarcity stems from the field still maturing, a pipeline of research that needs time, and practical challenges in measuring rare outcomes like severe maternal morbidity; moreover, trials often focus on intermediate steps rather than the ultimate inequity-reducing goal, which complicates evidence synthesis.
April: ACOG Committee Statement Discussion: Care for Immigrant Populations
Q: What practical steps can clinics take to make environments more inclusive for immigrants?
Key steps include ensuring high-quality language access across all touchpoints, displaying multilingual welcoming signage, protecting confidentiality, training staff in cultural humility, and documenting only what is clinically necessary while avoiding unnecessary immigration status checks.
April: ACOG Committee Statement Discussion: Care for Immigrant Populations
Q: Can you start by explaining why this guidance is important for clinicians working with immigrant populations?
The clinicians explain that immigrant care is framed by reproductive justice, language access, and trust-building; updating the guidance reflects ongoing changes in policy and the need to harmonize clinical practice with patient rights and safety.
March 2026: Childhood Pulmonary Outcomes After Late Preterm Antenatal Corticosteroids
Q: What was the main finding of your follow-up study?
Overall, while there was no measurable difference in respiratory function, there was a notable decrease in wheezing among the group exposed to beta-methasone.
