I used to love listening to this podcast and found that I learned a lot about changes and new management recommendations. Unfortunately, I feel like the podcast has declined and quality since its inception.
I stopped listening to it and have found more informative and interesting sources for relevant new information in OB/GYN.
As a clinical researcher who works with pregnant folks, I used to love this podcast. I found the episodes informative, easy to listen to, and an efficient way to stay up to date. Over the last few months the content has become much less efficient, has many more rambles, and has clear undertones about disrespecting patients. I am really disappointed to be losing this resource, but the new content is just not what it used to be. I genuinely hope Dr. Chapa can recognize these changes in his work an... more
Total misogynistic creeper. Some of his anecdotes are SO anti-woman and harmful. Talking about people being hot, excuses his sexist comments as “just my generation” is absurd. Do not recommend. I think he’s planning a run for political office and trying to play right into the Republican demographic. Listen with caution, or better yet, get a better source than him.
I once listened to this podcast religiously. I anticipated hearing unbiased and evidence based care guidelines.
In the past month, though, this podcast host has taken a SHARP turn towards full MAGA rhetoric.
He is anti-choice, anti-trans, and has started posting dog whistle after dog whistle.
One has to wonder if he’s gearing up for a political office run at the rate that his social media presence is turning into a truth social style frenzy.
Please listen with caution as his recent rheto... more
I loved this show. I credited much of my oral boards success to this show and to Dr Chapa. I frequently even turned my residents and medical students onto it. However, it is highly disappointing to see the recent politicization which can be characterized as nothing more than isolation and hatred towards individuals living out a life that Dr Chapa disagrees with. It is one thing to have a different opinion. But certainly another to post an anti trans meme and play it off as science.
