Such a rich, well written and executed source deserves better analysis. There was no discussion of story structure, key themes, no comparison within the genre or previous sally wainwright work. I don’t dislike either of the hosts but the passion for the source material wasn’t there.

I was so happy to find this podcast loving Happy Valley so much, but I found it really hard listening to, and one of the hosts seemed to miss so much of the plot and get facts so wrong that Im sorry that it wasn’t someone else doing it who had really absorbed all the many aspects that were involved in the complex plot. I love a laugh and giggles but this just felt a bit too much that way and not enough content.
