I was so so disappointed by this episode to the point that I was unable to finish it. Why? Because it seems like guest Brandy Jensen appreciates gentrification and host Rachelle Hampton seems to have no problem with that. The part of the episode I’m mentioning is quoted directly from the transcript below:
Rachelle: “Have you ever lived in a place like this, like a place that was in the middle of a big demographic change?
Brandy: No, I like to swoop in after that's already happened, so I don'... more
I still enjoy this podcast and I’m not giving up on it yet. That being said, I don’t come here to hear about politics. Yes it’s awful that so many people got fired by doge.. but I don’t need to hear about that and how bad the world is in yet another place. I’m trying to escape all that here.
Also, I’m sorry to say this but I like the premise of this podcast a lot, and I loved the previous host, but the new host has completely copied her personality. You don’t need to do that. Just be you and t... more
I devoured this podcast as I was cleaning and painting my first home. I was ready for the new host but I feel like the content became way more vulgar to a point where it’s just not the same show. As other have mentioned there was a major mood change & it’s now harsh and vulgar instead of quirky. I really would have stuck around with the new host but even the guests and the stories have a different mood. Really sad about it because it was something I looked forward to. No more stories of pets run... more
Used to look forward to this show every week, it was so nice to unwind and listen to some funny gossip. We come listen to these types of podcasts to tune out the real world for a little bit but instead now we are hearing political topics on this show. If we wanted to talk or listen about politics we’d listen to those types of podcasts. On top of that there haven’t been real good stories like before, we just hear the people who are submitting their stories tell their own short story. This show ha... more
Listening to the whole season, I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t enjoying it as much as before. I guess it’s less about the stories and details now, and more about the hosts and their internal jokes, which just isn’t the vibe for me personally.

Content primarily focuses on humorous and anecdotal gossip about obscure individuals and their comical life stories. The host engages listeners through entertaining discussions of reader-submitted gossip that range from the bizarre to the mundane, showcasing a distinct blend of levity and absurdity. Noteworthy is the way the podcast often reflects on social dynamics and personal anecdotes, making the listeners feel connected to the often goofy realities of others. This approach not only entertains but also subtly challenges the listeners to reflect on their own experiences with gossip within their communities.
