Years later, Shaun meets a man who knows all of Brent Marsh’s secrets, and travels to Noble, where it all started.
As Brent Marsh’s court case winds up, one victim of Tri-State Crematory has a remarkable change of heart, even after seeing her husband’s mummified corpse. Other families are not so forgiving.
The family that owns the crematory—the Marshes—has been in northwest Georgia since slavery times. Their story may help explain what went wrong at Tri-State.
Forensic specialists from around the country are brought in to help recover and identify all the bodies found at Tri-State Crematory. One woman brought in to help also searches for her own brother’s body and finds a conspiracy.

The podcast is great. I’ve already turned a bunch of my friends onto it. I’m from Georgia, but I’m from a different part of the state so I only have a vague recollection of the story. This podcast really goes into depth and the writers have taken great pains to be fair. This podcast is very good at making the story clear and concise as well as keeping the listener engaged. more
Lolll
Very good but, you know what I’m about to say… the commercial is annoying. Give another show or person a chance to promote themselves. Does she own this channel or something? If she does it’s pretty ballsy to only have her own commercials, just sayin’. Bless her pea picking heart. more
The story started off interesting and I really wanted to know the legalities of it. Then it started talking about skin color. What does an unethical crematorium have to do with that? I’m sick of journalist making everything about racism.
What beautifully told podcast. I love that Shaun shows both sides of the human struggle here with the families of the loved one they thought cremated and the family of the owners of the crematorium. All I can say is by the grace of God go any of us and thank you Shaun for being open and showing both sides! This has been a great podcast so far!
