  • Great content but feels fake.

The content is great and very fascinating. However this podcast feels fake and flat. The hosts of this podcast sound like AI narrators. The pauses and cadence don’t sound human. All of the dead space and pauses have been removed. The transcript would be better than listening to it. However if you are invested in the information and can treat it like a low quality audiobook then maybe it will be good for you.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Conversation about the Consulting Paradox: Expert Conflict in the AI Workforce Era
Q: What practical steps can leaders take to navigate this uncertainty?
Adopt transparent communication, staged investment, experiential capability building, renegotiate the psychological contract with workers, and implement disciplined agnosticism to prepare for multiple futures.
A Conversation about the Consulting Paradox: Expert Conflict in the AI Workforce Era
Q: What does the productivity paradox imply for organizations trying to implement AI today?
Individuals and teams may see faster execution at the task level, but macro productivity remains flat due to coordination costs, bottlenecks, and induced demand that expands workload.
A Conversation about the Cognitive Compass: Navigating Performance and Human Sustainability
Q: Is there a risk of over-reliance on priming, leading to misalignment or burnout?
Yes, misalignment can happen when environmental cues push for speed over accuracy; audits like priming audits help detect and correct these cues, ensuring goals and environment stay in sync and do not tax the brain.
A Conversation about the Cognitive Compass: Navigating Performance and Human Sustainability
Q: How can managers practically implement primed goals in a noisy digital workplace?
By redesigning the digital environment to subtly cue desired goals (e.g., language changes in interfaces to emphasize outcomes like customer success) and pairing that with asynchronous communication norms to reduce constant interruptions, thus freeing cognitive bandwidth for deep work.
A Conversation about the New Frontier of Workplace Emotional Surveillance
Q: What exactly are we talking about when we say emotion AI?
Emotion AI goes beyond traditional productivity tracking by attempting to infer internal states from facial expressions, voice prosody, and linguistic patterns, effectively turning personal signals into data points that can influence management decisions.
