  • Practical & relevant

As a young adult and campus pastor, I really appreciate the insight shared from leaders in our generation or leaders from previous generations. There’s so much wisdom to learn from ppl that have gone or are going through what we’re going through as we try to lead ourselves and others to Jesus.

  • Get ready to take notes! 📝

I listen to a lot of podcasts in the Christian space. Few do I find as consistently convicting and challenging as this one. I often find myself pausing to take notes or to rewind 15 seconds to hear again something that was said. This is not your typical leadership podcast. This will challenge you spiritually.

  • Listen again…and again…and again!

The episode on 4 Ways to Raise the Bar for Our Kids with the Claytons is like a clinic on being next level parents. As I listened my heart was stirred to be more intentional with my boys and to become more as a father. So thankful for this content!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Better Preparing Our Youth for Spiritual Warfare | Jennifer Barnett
Q: Grace from Suriname asks about how to root identity in Christ for the next generation and how to address lies kids believe about themselves.
Jennifer outlines starting from the root of identity, guiding youths to identify moments when false beliefs entered, and then inviting God to reveal the truth about who they are, so they can move from lies to a secure identity in Him.
Why This Generation Is Craving Deeper Preaching | Jonny Ardavanis
Q: How do you balance packaging and substance in sermons to maintain authority without sacrificing heart?
Focus on understanding the text first, let the Bible drive the message, and avoid making the talk about personality or spectacle; authority comes from Scripture, not cleverness.
Why This Generation Is Craving Deeper Preaching | Jonny Ardavanis
Q: What do you think happened to the hunger for depth in preaching among the next generation?
There is a real hunger for truth that isn't satisfied by flashy, surface-level messages; people want depth, truth, and a clear, expository approach that connects all of Scripture to the person of Jesus.
The Beautiful Battle of Sanctification | Matt Chandler
Q: How should someone facing spiritual dryness engage with Scripture when it feels unproductive?
Ask God to show you something from His Word and bring honest, humble prayers about your desire for Him; intimacy with God often comes through persistent, heartfelt prayer and prayerful reading, not quick fixes.
Navigating Play, Pain and Prayer | Tyler Staton
Q: How do you teach your children about faith and resilience in the midst of hardship?
Model vulnerability and honesty, share creative prayers and stories, and cultivate a home culture that mirrors the values of generosity, humility, and reliance on God.
