  • Hosts rude to each other and the guests

The woman host seems like she has to interject constantly, especially over her co-hist, but even over the guest. It’s annoying to listeners.

  • A New Model, are we?

    - Yes, in short. One of only 2-3 ‘casts that I actively pay for, month to month. What can be said? Kept folk sane, entertained, sorted during lockdowns of pandemic; offering deep, nuanced and unique commentary on what’s happening out there in the integrated world(s) [of URL + IRL] - both macro and micro in scale. Highly two thumbs upped and recommended to those curious about true 21st century soothsaying.

Q: In just a couple of lines, how would you summarize the core idea of Theory of a Vibe?
A vibe is the aesthetic resonance and coherence of a world-making process, a pre-conceptual yet perceptible structure that guides how we interpret changes in culture, with autoencoder-like models offering a concrete metaphor for how such structures are learned and represented.
Unlocked | NM Talkcore: Kevin Munger on Spiraling (2025)
Q: Where is the place to seek some kind of refuge during a war that is happening so intensely in the information space?

Preview | Orit Halpern on Agentic Imaginaries (NM88) 2025
Q: Can you explain the conflict between smartness serving an individual against the need for large populations?
There is a contradiction as smartness is marketed towards individuals yet thrives on large datasets from populations, implicating issues of data ownership and privacy.

Q: What is smartness and how does it correspond to what we now speak of these systems as intelligence?
Smartness is often linked to environmental connotations and denotes a less anthropomorphic nature than intelligence, which is historically tied to quantifying human reasoning.
