  • Wish I had listened to this before my hysterectomy!

I had a fabulous surgeon for my hysterectomy. She was very informative took her time to answer my questions, and acknowledged the emotional pain that a hysterectomy can cause.

However, she didn’t tell me about long term issues that I’m now reading about. Or that it’s hard to feel anything down there when you don’t have a cervix.

Please pass this on to any woman who is even thinking about a hysterectomy and save them the fear and distress the doctors don’t prepare you for!

  • What a great help!

I found this podcast with just a few days to go before my hysterectomy. I’m so glad I did as it was a great help and source of comfort for me. I listened to the episodes based on the stage I was at and things like the episode with the anaesthetist really prepped me for what was to come. I’d love to hear a follow up on this for hysterectomy recovery beyond the procedure.

  • Learned so much! Very well done

I have binged both the book & now the podcast and can’t say enough about how helpful/ informational it has been. Frank and so helpful for someone helping a family member navigate the murky waters of an upcoming hysterectomy (or if you’re going to have one yourself). Definitely assuaged some of the anxiety we had!
