The Hoer Verde legend is actually mentioned in the Dean Koontz novel “Phantoms” which was released in 1983 so the legend must be a lot older than previously thought. Regardless I still can’t find it’s origin.
I love all of the history and stories that you wrap around in the Myths and Mysteries and Monsters podcast. These would be awesome stories to tell around the campfire up in the Northwoods camping. I am going to try and remember these just for those occasions!
