The individual stories in this themed crime anthology were generally well-written. All produced clear suspects and the reader is invited to figure out whodunit. There is even a section toward the end of each story that encapsulates the clues as related to each suspect ("Deliberations") so the reader can Id who he or she thinks is the murderer. It was a lot of fun to read or to listen to.

What a blast! It’s like listening to an old-time radio show, with scene-setting music playing in the background while the actual author reads chapters from her book—how fun is that?

This show blends live storytelling with original music to create immersive mystery experiences, often featuring a rotating cast of guest writers and authors who shape the plots. Episodes typically pair dramatic narration with banter between the hosts, a musical interlude, and insightful discussion that reframes clues and motives as the story unfolds. A standout is the sensory-forward, performance-first format, which rewards long-time listeners with callbacks, easter eggs, and a meta-awareness of mystery tropes. Potential listeners can expect a cozy-to-noir vibe, strong narrative voices, and a playful critique of the storytelling process that still delivers twists and solvable puzzles.
