Pretty good show. Why does every podcast seem to tell us the bad guys are right-wing when reality shows us differently? Agenda much?
It has so much potential, but it has been far too melodramatic, predictable, and the sound effects are overdone and distracting. Characters are somewhat interesting, but most are drowning in tropes and too flat to hold your interest. There isn’t really anyone to identify with or to root for.
WHY does the production team think we want to hear graphic, mega loud and realistic gulping/swallowing sounds every time a character takes a drink? I’m 6 minutes into episode 2 and it is about to ruin this show for me. Such great sound production otherwise and I sincerely cannot see what this one little specificity adds to the unfolding of the plot. It is unbearable to listen to the gulping. God be with all of you with sensitivities to eating/drinking sounds.
I throughly enjoyed this. Great story and the voices and the sounds just brought it all the way to life!
So far, I am enjoying the series, but the rollout is so slow. It doesn’t even make sense where they broke up the episodes. They’re just milking it for no reason whatsoever.

A post-apocalyptic audio series centers on Cielo, a Mexican immigrant, navigating the West Coast after a devastating earthquake. Narratives emphasize isolation, survival, and the hunt for loved ones amid a rising militia, with strong emphasis on sound design, character chemistry, and moral tension in crisis moments. Episodes blend personal memory with urgent, high-stakes decision making, delivering a cinematic feel through voice acting and production while exploring themes of resilience, community, and what it means to live in a fractured world. This sample suggests broad appeal to fans of immersive drama, political and social undercurrents, and high-empathy survival stories.
